Barack Obama’s School Reunion
Turned out I went to same school with Barack Obama. Sort of. He was in Asisi elementary school, I was in Asisi high school, both located in the same building complex at Jl. Haji Ramli, Menteng Dalam, South Jakarta. Obama studied in St. Fransiskus Asisi (also referred to as St. Francis Assisi) elementary school from 1968 to early 1970ies. Then he enrolled to SDN 01 Besuki, Menteng (now the SDN Menteng 01). Just right after finishing fourth grade, Obama continued his education in Hawaii, United States.
Anyways, Asisi is having High School Alumni Grand Reunion set on October 18th, so if you were a student, register yourself to receive invitation and pass card.

Not an alumni there though. Studied there for around two years (Class 2000) then continued my study at SMUN 12, public school at East Jakarta, presumptively for greater chance of getting accepted in state university — which is quite ironic because I didn’t even take the UMPTN test and went for private university instead. And Obama was in Asisi elementary school, so don’t hold your breath waiting for him coming to town. Can’t help whoring out the name.

Not even a week after the president election the blond topblogger from Sweden, Linda Ekholm speaks out loud about Obama!
And I really believe this is truly written by heart. Scary!

I have a question for you: Is it required in Indonesia to be a citizen of the country to attend Catholic and Muslim school there? I’m talking to another person about Obama’s supposed lack of true U.S. citizenship, and she refuses to believe he is a U.S. citizen. I tried looking all over the internet for Indonesia’s school enrollment requirements, but nothing came up. Thanks in advance.

Hi Demin, sorry for the late reply.
No, it isn’t required to attend Catholic and Muslim school here in Indonesia, but I don’t see how that relates to Obama’s citizenship.

No problem, I understand that everyone has a life.
The person I am “debating” with believes that it requires citizenship in Indonesia to attend religious schools there. She also believes that if he did have citizenship in Indonesia that it doesn’t make him a “real” U.S. citizen, making him unable to be President. Thank you for the info. I really appreciate it. :D
i admire Barack Obama because he is very charismatic and he is liberal minded.
