About the playlist.
- Most musicians deliver social and cultural issues, not only in their music, but also in various aspects in their life as artists.
- Indonesia by Above & Beyond, electronic duo from Netherlands, is a bonus track. The track isn’t available in full length, but there’s a YouTube vid for it somewhere.
- Made this playlist out of shameless subjectivity, it’s a matter of personal taste.
- Playlist is powered by imeem and the tracks were originally uploaded by imeem users. Best regards to all Indonesians on imeem!

Hello. You are now reading an article written by Marisa Duma, published on 05Jul08 along with other notes on Arts and Culture, Indonesia, Listings, Music, Philosophy.
Still can't find the answer you're looking for?
Perhaps you'd find one from

i only know homogenic, their album from 2 years ago is pretty good.

And john also says Maid Men.
Chill abisss..
Really nice flow to it, makes me smile ..Thanks!
Nice post. I was thinking of writing one myself on the Indonesian music scene but it would have to be a five part series to make any sense of it. I listen to a lot of Indonesian music. Everything from Rita Lestariani to Parkdrive to Rain to Siti Nuhaliza to Agnes Monica to Sharina Munaf to Mustafah Sabah and the Jugala All Stars… to too many to name. Thanks for the cool music stuff…
And ultratupai also says Jakarta (heaven, hell, the street, and pylox).
O, ya, a book… ha, ha, ha
I forgot that Siti is Malaysian. I hope I haven’t caused a riot somewhere.
And ultratupai also says Jakarta (oil, coal, blackouts, the urban future).
o ya I forgot, the music is great, thanks.

I remember the first time I heard Dunia Semu by The Milo back in 2003. It was a love at the first heard. Do you get the chance to listen to the remix of that song by Rock n Roll Mafia? it was a masterpiece!
I don’t know if it was a coincidence or not, but I had a dejavu moment when I heard Andra & The Backbones platinum hits intro “Sempurna”. It was so similar…. hmmm….
And Patrick also says Kung Fu Panda (2008).
