This high-end batik that you and your friend sell, can you tell me the price range?
Do you manufacture it by yourself?

I wonder if you could enclose further information on this offer.
Thank you. :)

Hi, Amelie.

No, it is owned by a personal relative of mine. At first we intended to place several pictures and 'advertise' them along with an article concerning the subject, but there've been a change of plan. Even so, I'd help you on this.

Actually, one cannot 'order' these exclusive batik products -- so, yes, wrong term there. Several pictures expectedly will encourage to-be-buyers to visit the boutique. Even if you'd like to order, you'd have to contact the owner personally and arrange something from there.

The boutique is located in Pasaraya Grande, Blok M, Jakarta.
Please check an e-mail, enclosed with the full address and the name of person that will assist you.

Woooooww! Thanks! It's like a fashion round-up tips, with Polyvore! Haven't read it thoroughly but I never doubted the practicality in all things Jakarta.

But I feel sooooooooo guilty for making you write this piece, I mean, I'm not sure about the propaganda articles either. Now I feel like --
It's like I've ruined the sanctity of this blog! Knowing it's supposed to be a social issue blog.

But then, hey at least we Jakartans-to-the-core won't judge each other negatively just because we'd like to dress well in every occassion ;)

Jakarta could be a really superficial place, I agree on that. Especially Indonesia. In this place, people would corrupt and abuse themselves for their love of beauty, but on the other hand, people would also do the same bad things for their hatred and jealousy of it.

Why should we feel guilty? What are we, communists? Corruptors? And does this post encourage women to corrupt or abuse themselves for physical appearance? Don't think so.

Anyways, hurry back. Or else the reeking smell of minyak nyong-nyong would choke me to death in here!

omigod, i feel strangely naked now that the blogosphere will know the contents of my bag!! lol geer banget seh..

i dont even remember ever submitting my bag contents to that blog..

about leggings and demin micro skirts, when i was back in jkt May 2006, nobody, absolutely NOBODY was wearing that, not in asia, not in europe. It was a very new trend in Hollywood, but me being an addict superficial and gofugyourself reader, immediately bought a micro skirt and leggings.

I remember wearing them with a very sexy backless shirt in jakarta. Everybody looked at me funny, as if im from another planet. but like 2 months after i got back here, my sister in law told me people are starting to wear it everywhere. it's really funny how slow trends catch up sometimes.

I personally like to wear things that are not in style, i like having my own style. when many people wear something, i opt not to and vice versa.. but i do like the red dress in the picture above, very very cute..

And rimafauzi also says Last but not least, 4th of July thoughts #3: Corruption.

It's on Fashionese Daily's front page, you know.
Went there to search for some pix, and there's your name and your bag.

About the backless shirt, there's this common saying in the city:
If people look at you, it's because they have eyes!

Err, I can never compliment peoples like colson do, but you get the point.

As I said in the post, urban fashion is all about experimenting and being unique. I think Samuel Mulia wrote that once, maybe. Gofugyourself would've agreed.

Perhaps they have air-cons following themselves 24/7? Heheh.

Bear in mind also that some people in Jakarta rarely ever feel the humidity - just think about it Nit; when you're in the house the air con is on, then you get in the car, the air con is on, going to the mall, where the air con is on full blast!

Certainly not the healthies lifestyle but however ;)

Funn though how most girls who are trying to lose weight (for the sake of fashion) do not include the advantage of the hot weather in their programs.

Funny story: A friend of mine frequented the gym that was 5 minutes from her house when traveled with car. I told her she should've just gone bicycling there, or even better, jogging, in which she responded with laughter because she thought I was joking.

Notice the irony there? LOL

And therry also says First Driving Lesson.

Hm. Guess so. I like taking a poop in an air con-ed restroom though.

Black legging? It's way damn to hot to wear something like that in this tropical weather. I never understand people wearing pantyhose either, it's nice when it's winter, but here?

And Finally Woken also says When Things Gone Sour.

It's not spandex leggings, it's made from the same fabric used for body-fitted tees.

Of course it's unwise (and unhealthy) to wear spandex leggings in the tropical weather for hours, I might as well wear a bikini.
