   I wonder who’d go to this event, having seen the students lamely protested against the oil price hike and blame USA, Europe and the entire world on TV…

   And Finally Woken also says The Long And Winding Working Hours.

   Must I remind you on how schizophrenic our society is, Anita?

   Then again the event is organised by fellow Jakartans, young ones. I personally, as a born-raised Jakartan, appreciate the initiative. It’s the thought that counts and perhaps the only way for young ones to appreciate their own country, is by appreciating other countries.

   If not, then it might be just another lame excuse to go out on a party.

   Just a note: This event isn’t organised by American citizens or sponsored by the US Embassy in Indonesia, the event is purely organised by Indonesian entertainment event producers.

   Nope, there’s no CIA agents involved. Unless if they’re looking for free booze.

   Yep. Perhaps this is the America that ‘Indonesia’ knows of; the somewhat hedonistic and drunken America, blahblah, you know the drill. Then again, it’s the 4th of July right? Isn’t it supposed to be a neighborly type of gathering, parades, fireworks and BBQs, or at least a moment of peace for the young soldiers killed on the battlefield?

   Not in Indonesia.
