Animated Philosophy

Creative Commons License

For those of you who are familiar with South Park and its animators, directors, producers, also voice actors, Trey Parker [Wikipedia] and Matt Stone [Wikipedia], the following movie clips shown below are created by the same co-creators of the television show.

The Flash animated clips are the audiovisual illustration and adaptation of the works of Alan Watts [Official website], a philosopher of the modern days that have earned a reputation as a foremost interpreter of Eastern philosophies for the West.

Enjoy the clips, and be inspired.

Titles from top to bottom: 1. Life and Music; 2. Prickles and Goo; 3. Appling. View more of animated works of Alan Watts here. At the mean time, read also what Trey Parker and Matt Stone have to say about liberals, conservatives, censorship, and religion.

Note: For international visitors, just in case you’ve been wondering, South Park isn’t broadcasted in Indonesia’s TV station, most of us here watch it via cable or buy South Park’s DVDs. We have The Simpsons though.

Update.
If the Shockwave Flash files aren’t working in your browser, please click ‘Watch video’ for the YouTube video versions. Video for “Appling” isn’t available unfortunately. Thanks to yuki for pointing this out.
