Regatta Luxury Complex Jakarta
If you’ve been wowed by the epic architectural designs from The Heavens Below, a post published earlier on this site, believe it or not, there would be a quite similar version of those forementioned underwater resorts built right here in Jakarta, Indonesia. It is the Regatta Luxury Complex [Official website].
Don’t let its futuristic and extraterresterial look fool you though. It isn’t a scientific laboratory, a public park, an observatory deck, or a planetarium–as some of us might’ve secretly wished; it is in fact a luxury living complex, consisted of ten apartment towers, a five star hotel, and several swimming pools. For more details on the site plan, go here.
A new luxury complex is being built in Jakarta, Indonesia, on the Java Sea coast and should include 11 buildings, along with an Aqua Park. The preview looks more than amazing, much interesting than Dubai is.
The new complex is called Regatta and should be finished in the next few years, including an aerodynamically-shaped hotel, 10 apartment towers and a 2.4-hectare Aqua Park, all build in a futuristic architecture, probably inspired from the Science Fiction movies. The building will be named from the other port cities like Monte Carlo, Tokyo, Acapulco, Dubai, Miami, Rio De Janeiro and Sydney and it will probably won’t be cheap.

Cool. That’s an awesome idea.
Why don’t we build a robot to invade the island? Remote controlled. AAA battery included.
They’ll make a movie of it, merchandises, etc and we’ll split the royalties.
70-30.

Don’t tell me you don’t want to live in it? Eventhough I don’t, I prefer staying at the Poseidon Resort (Hee-hee). And thanks for mentioning the S word; where do Regatta’s plumbing and lavatory pipes goes to anyways? The Java sea? They gotta dump it somewhere, right?
Okay, seriously. Let’s give them a call, suggest the developer to spare some areas for educational purposes or something. Let’s tell ‘em: Give us a suite for a whole month, complimentary drinks, fruits, and towels we can steal, and we’ll tell everyone Regatta is reshaping the urban society for the course of future human civilization! *Star Trek theme song in the background.
Thousands of children in Indonesia cannot afford higher education or consume adequate supply of nutrition? Oh, that’s just too sci-fi.
There’ll be a lot more to come in jakarta like the (ups spoiler… beware of legal action) …..
Well… as an Architectural Visualization I know a lot of undergoing project in Jakarta but one thing I certainly sure, not all the visual now will be build exactly like it shown in the commercial brochure due Indonesian “great” contractor builder….
But, one thing for sure, I won’t be able to afford that kind of appartment. Stick to a “peacefull and safe” small “easy loan BTN” house, with the “wonderfull” electricity from PLN, the “flowless” water supply from PAM, and an emergency “homemade raft” if the water blessing from God comes along….
-sigh-
